| Crescent Moon Sighting Report: | Third Biblical Month / May-June 2012 |
As of May 22, 2012 9:00pm CT
The third new moon of the year has been confirmed in the western United States within Arizona and California. For those points westward, the month begins Monday evening, May 21st. All other locations will wait to begin their month until sundown on May 22nd. Israel sightings later confirmed on Tuesday, May 22nd. These sightings do not effect the count to Pentecost (Shavuot), which begins at the waving of the Omer (Wavesheaf Day). See box above for current day's count.

Next Crescent Moon (4th Month):
The next expected new moon will be Wednesday evening, June 20th in the South Africa region. Israel will most likely be first visible on Thursday evening, June 21st, 2012.

Biblical Festival Dates 2012:
This year, the Aviv barley harvest reports from the Fertile Crescent region around Israel have been reported in the 12th month making the next new moon, reported on the evening of March 23, 2012 (starting in Israel westward), the start of the new year. There was no need for an additional 13th month. This placed the Festival Dates as follows (all dates listed began at sundown the evening before; may vary based upon visual confirmation/trumpet call of the crescent moon):
- First Day of Biblical Year^# (Day 1 of Month 1): March 24, 2012
- Passover^ (Day 14 of Month 1): April 6, 2012
- First Day of Unleavened Bread**^ (Day 15 of Month 1): April 7, 2012
- Last Day of Unleavened Bread*^ (Day 21 of Month 1): April 13, 2012
- Wave Sheaf Day# (1st day of the week during Unleavened Bread): April 8, 2012
- Feast of Weeks/Counting of Omer (starting with WaveSheaf Day): April 8 - May 26, 2012
- Pentecost* (50th Day starting with Wave Sheaf Day): May 27, 2012
^ - Most regions east of Israel will observe the following date (based on global trumpet call)
* Holy Convocation Day (No Regular Work)
** High-Day Holy Convocation (Sabbath Day of Rest)
# Based on barley within Promised Land (Israel) region
The Seventh New Moon of 2012 will have a slight possibility of being seen in the southern portion of South America (Chile) on the evening of September 16, 2012. The United States and most of the Americas, along with all points westward, would then keep this date based on a Global Trumpet call should they be made from Chile. If the moon is not seen, then all regions - including Israel - should observe a new moon the following evening (all dates listed begin at sundown the evening before; may vary based upon visual confirmation/trumpet call of the month/Abib harvest):

- Day of Atonement** (Day 10 of Month 7): September 26, 2012 (Americas - Possible), September 27, 2012 (Israel)
- First Day of Feast of Tabernacles* (Day 15 of Month 7): October 1, 2012 (Americas - Possible), October 2, 2012 (Israel)
- Last Day of Feast of Tabernacles (Day 21 of Month 7): October 7, 2012 (Americas - Possible), October 8, 2012 (Israel)
- Last Great Day* (Day 22 of Month 7): October 8, 2012 (Americas - Possible), October 9, 2012 (Israel)
